A mural to enjoy in my own backyard.
Thank you to my partner at IMO for building the studio (a perfect wall for me to experiment on).

This mural is a product of it’s location, using the exiting architecture and landscaping for scale, pattern and color palette. While not overwhelming the calm backyard setting, it can still play with perception without competing for attention.

Somethings turn out better than planned. I originally had another image in mind for this mural but after going through the process of sketching and mock ups, I think this fits the site so much better.

The luxury of painting a mural in your own backyard (you can take time, test methods, avoid hot weather, enjoy seeing it all at different times of day) and the perils (you see any imperfections, you find yourself painting very tiny details on a very tall ladder).
